Considered one of the greatest works of theater in the English language. William Shakespeare’s Hamlet features a young man wrestling with what it means to avenge the past, solidify the present, and resuscitate his kingdom for the future. All while persistent doubt, fear, and anger swirl within him

Our Hamlet will be set in a world about 100–150 years in the future. Looking at today and projecting to tomorrow, imagine that everything that can go wrong DOES go wrong—climate change, the destruction of democracy, lack of resources, etc. And yet, human beings do survive. In this future Los Angeles, there is no electricity, no internet, and no AI to speak of. People dwell in highly decentralized, small fiefdoms (imagine if Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Pasadena, and all the cities and areas in Los Angeles County were their own independent little kingdoms).

Performances: November 19-21 at 7:30pm and November 22 at 2:00pm.
