Daniel Snowden-Ifft has been searching for dark matter for the past 20 years.
But since dark matter is scarce he, like the Grinch, has decided to make some instead. His new research project seeks to produce dark matter in the beam dump of an electron accelerator, the SLAC accelerator at Stanford is a possibility, and detect it utilizing a unique, negative ion time projection chamber he developed.
